How Does Our Bulk Text Messaging Software Work?
1) Select Your Groups:
The first step to send a bulk text message is to select the contact Groups who you would like to reach. A contact group contains a collection of contacts, such as customers, or staff, or students. You can add contacts by uploading them, allowing people to opt in using our web widget, or asking people to text your Keyword to our shared short code. See below for more information about Keywords.
2) Type Your Bulk Text Message:
The next step is to quickly type out your text message using our website. Our helpful character counter will let you know how many more letters you have left. On the go?Our Send-From-Phone feature allows you to send us a text message from your own mobile phone, which we will relay to your group.
3) Our text messaging passes your message to the wireless carriers
As soon as you click send, or text messaging gateway connects to all of the wireless carriers — AT&T, Verizon, Sprint, T-Mobile, MetroPCS, etc. and transmits to them a copy of your message. See full carrier coverage.
4) The Cellular Carriers Deliver Your Message To Your Contacts:
Whether you're sending to 100 contacts or 10,000 contacts, your message is delivered to your contacts in minutes. The message could be everything from a simple reminder to a mobile coupon. How Do Keywords Work?
Keywords are for customers who would like to offer their customers or friends the ability to join their group text messaging list from their own mobile phones.
The process is simple. People quickly and easily Opt-In to your group text messaging list by texting your chosen Keyword to the number 25827 (212121 in Canada). In the above image, Example is the Keyword.
The person then receives an automated reply message (which you can easily customize) confirming their subscription to your group messaging list.
With a keyword, you can also take advantage of our Send-From-Phone feature. From your personal phone, simply send [keyword + your message] to 25827 (212121 in Canada) and all subscribers on that list will receive your text message instantly!
